Jerskin Fendrix

Jerskin Fendrix (Joscelin Dent-Pooley), an English composer, was born in 1995 near Market Drayton, graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in classical music. Raised in an academic family, he learned violin and piano early, influenced by diverse music. His debut album, Winterreise (2020), caught Yorgos Lanthimos’s attention, leading to Fendrix becoming the first composer Lanthimos collaborated with for original film scores. His score for Poor Things (2023) earned an Oscar nomination, followed by work on Kinds of Kindness (2024) and Bugonia (2025). Known for his experimental, surreal style blending classical and pop, Fendrix’s innovative compositions have significantly shaped Lanthimos’s cinematic vision, marking a distinctive career.
