Born on April 19, 1975, in Kesbewa, Sri Lanka, Dharmapriya’s journey into the arts began early. He showed a passion for drama during his school years at Sir John Kothalawala Maha Vidyalaya and Piliyandala Central College, where he studied under the guidance of Premakumara Karunaratne, a well-respected mentor in the Sri Lankan arts community.
