Edward Gardner OBE is an English conductor and Principal Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He became Music Director of the Norwegian Opera and Ballet in 2024 and is Honorary Conductor of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. Born in Gloucester, he studied at Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music, and has received honors including the Royal Philharmonic Society Conductor of the Year Award, an Olivier Award, and an OBE for services to music.
