Sofía Sylwin
Sofía Sylwin (born December 1, 1988) is a Polish-Mexican actress and singer. A graduate of the University Center for Theater Studies (CUT) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), she has built a versatile career encompassing film, television, and theater. She is recognized for her ability to portray complex characters in both national and international productions, notably for her role in the short film Crescendo (2019), which won the Student Academy Award in 2020.
She began her artistic training in Mexico City and quickly integrated into the professional theater scene. Since 2011, she has participated in more than twenty stage productions, including the successful play The Love of Fireflies by Alejandro Ricaño—with which she has toured internationally in Spain, Colombia, and Great Britain—as well as Wenses y Lala and Schizophrenia Mon Amour. Her big-screen debut came with roles in films such as *Traición* (2018), directed by Ignacio Ortiz, and the drama *Los días particulares* (2019).
In recent years, she has achieved significant international recognition. In 2021, she appeared in the fifth season of the American series *S.W.A.T.*, and has been part of the cast of episodic productions such as *Amores que engañan*. In addition to her artistic work, she is known for her commitment to empowerment and her active participation in the digital community, using her platform to promote positive and authentic messages.
