The story centers on an old man who lives with his grandson. As the old man’s health begins to decline, a mountain goat appears and rests near their home a symbolic act in line with nature's rhythm. Until the very moment the goat naturally dies at this resting place, it watches over and protects the boy, illustrating the profound bond between humans, animals, and the natural world.
