
Bulan, the wife of a fisherman named Lallo, who lives by the Galesong coast with her mother-in-law, Daeng Ngiji, waiting for her husband’s return from the sea. While enduring loneliness and the burden of being a fisherman’s wife, Bulan forms a forbidden emotional connection with Aldebaran, the young son of her husband’s superior.
